Yeovil Town News

Yeovil Town seemed to have given themselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop following two consecutive victories over Crawley and Wimbledon but one point from a possible six in February has dragged the Glovers back into the relegation zone once again.

While Darren Way has brought about improvement at Huish Park since his arrival back in December, Yeovil are currently in a fight against time to avoid relegation this season and they will be desperate to claim a positive result when high flying Portsmouth pay a visit this weekend.

Yeovil Town Probable Lineup: Krysiak; Dickson, Ward, Sokolik, Roberts; Walsh, Tozer, Dolan; Zoko, Bird, Compton

Portsmouth News

Portsmouth claimed a convincing 3-1 victory over Bristol Rovers to end their terrible run of results and the three points has seen Pompey move back into one of the promotion places once again.

The competition remains extremely tight within the playoff positions though and manager Paul Cook needs his players to claim another three points when they travel to Huish Park to square off against struggling Yeovil on Saturday in order keep Portsmouth’s promotion hopes alive.

Portsmouth Probable Lineup: Fulton; Stevens, Webster, Burgess, Davies; Close, Doyle, Bennett, Evans, Roberts; Smith

Yeovil and Portsmouth played out a 0-0 draw earlier on in the season and the clash on Saturday is expected to be a close encounter once again.

Both teams are not in the best of forms at the moment and the two sides’ inconsistency makes the game a hard one to call. Portsmouth are arguably the stronger side though and may just about sneak a victory on the day.
