Watford News

Watford have enjoyed a terrific campaign in the Premier League so far and following the recent 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, the Hornets look set for a top half finish in the table – which would represent a remarkable achievement.

Now with their Premier League status all but secured, Watford will be focusing on a good run in the FA Cup and will now square off against Championship side Leeds United on Saturday, in what should be a tricky encounter for Quique Sanchez Flores’ side.

Watford Probable Lineup: Pantilimon; Holebas, Cathcart, Prodl, Anya; Behrami, Guedioura, Suarez, Watson; Deeney Ighalo

Leeds United News

Leeds United claimed a commendable 0-0 draw against high flyers Middlesbrough in the Championship on Monday night but the Whites look set for no more than a mediocre mid-table finish in the table this season.

In order to turn their campaign into a memorable one, Leeds will need to go on a good run in the FA Cup and have done well to reach the 5th round of the competition. Leeds have been handed a tie against Premier League side Watford on Saturday and the clash is surely set to be a huge challenge for Steve Evans’ men.

Leeds United Probable Lineup: Silvestri, Bellusci, Cooper, Wootton, Taylor, Diagouraga, Bridcutt, Dallas, Cook, Antenucci, Doukara

Watford have made rapid strides as a club over the past 18 months while in contrast, Leeds United have probably made no improvements whatsoever.

Heading into Saturday’s encounter, Watford have to be classed as favourites and while anything is possible in the FA Cup, Leeds simply do not look strong enough to hand the Hornets a challenge away from home this weekend.

Watford 2 – 0 Leeds United
