Match Preview: AFC Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur

Updated: October 23, 2015

Bournemouth play hosts to Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday and both teams will be desperate to claim the three points on the day.

AFC Bournemouth

Bournemouth made a strong start to their season but a host of injuries to their key players has meant that the Cherries’ form has suffered in recent times.

The 5-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City last time out highlighted Bournemouth’s troubles and now Eddie Howe will be hopeful that his side can bounce back when a dangerous Tottenham Hotspur pay a visit to the Vitality Stadium this weekend.

Injury Doubts: Harry Arter, Artur Boruc, Lee Tomlin, Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings, Callum Wilson

Probable Lineup (4-4-2): Boruc; Daniels, Cook, Distin, Francis; Pugh, Gosling, Surman, Ritchie; King, Murray

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have failed to claim a single victory since their 4-1 victory over Manchester City last month and while Spurs’ form has been anything but disastrous, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate for his side to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

Up next for Tottenham is a clash against Bournemouth away from home and although tricky, Pochettino will view the game as one which is more than winnable.

Injury Doubts: Nabil Bentaleb, Nacer Chadli, Ryan Mason, Alex Pritchard, Heung-Min Son

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Walker; Alli, Dier, Lamela, Eriksen, Dembele; Kane

Tottenham and Bournemouth have never squared off against each other in the Premier League and it will be interesting to see how the clash will pan out.

Tottenham will have to be considered favourites ahead of the clash though and if they play to their best, an away win looks set to be on the cards.

AFC Bournemouth 1 – 2 Tottenham Hotspur
