Paris Saint-Germain had placed an offer of £20million plus Gregory van der Wiel in exchange for Seamus Coleman on transfer deadline day, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

While there was a lot of speculation surrounding the future of John Stones, Everton fans were also dreading the loss of another key defender in Seamus Coleman.

It emerged during the final week of the transfer window that French giants Paris Saint-Germain had expressed their interest in signing Coleman and a transfer taking place had been seen as a real possibility.

At the end, Coleman stayed put at Goodison Park but it has now been revealed that Everton refused a stunning offer from PSG to keep hold of the right back.

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, PSG had placed a bid of around £20million plus the services of Dutch international Gregory van der Wiel in exchange for Coleman but Everton deemed the offer to be not good enough.
